SINGAPORE, March 31, 2026 — HeyMax, the leading AI-powered loyalty and travel rewards platform, today officially inaugurated its global headquarters in Singapore. The opening ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour, Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development, and Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
As the Minister overseeing both the FinTech and Tourism portfolios, Mr. Alvin Tan's presence underscores the strategic convergence of these sectors—an area where HeyMax is a pioneer. By simplifying how consumers earn and redeem rewards, HeyMax acts as a digital bridge between financial optimization and global travel experiences.
The new office marks a significant milestone in HeyMax's growth trajectory, following its successful US$11 million Series A funding round earlier this year. The facility will serve as the central hub for the company's regional operations, housing its core engineering, AI research, and regional expansion teams as they scale services across APAC.
While expanding its footprint across APAC, HeyMax is "doubling down" on its Singapore roots for three strategic reasons:
"Singapore is the only place in the world where you are standing at the absolute center of both the future of finance and the future of travel. Having Minister Alvin Tan join us today is particularly meaningful; his work in driving Singapore's tourism roadmap and our FinTech ecosystem perfectly mirrors HeyMax's mission to bring more empathy and joy to the world by making aspirational travel more accessible." — Joe Lu, Co-Founder and CEO of HeyMax
During the event, Mr. Alvin Tan toured the new facility and engaged with the HeyMax team on the future of consumer tech and the role of Singapore as a global FinTech hub. His presence highlights Singapore's commitment to fostering home-grown startups that leverage technology to enhance cross-border consumer experiences.
"Singapore aims to be as fertile as possible for startups to grow and expand. HeyMax's journey—from a team of 10 to now 30, with a major Series A funding and regional expansion into markets like Hong Kong—is a testament to that vision. We are 100% behind founders who choose to make Singapore their home and their Asia-Pacific headquarters. Our job is to continue making this a place where talent and innovation can truly spark." — Mr. Alvin Tan, Minister of State
The expansion comes at a time when HeyMax is entering into new markets like Hong Kong and Japan. With this new home, HeyMax aims to double its local headcount by 2027.
