Hong Kong – 29th December 2025 – HeyMax, a leading loyalty and travel rewards platform in Asia, today announced a new partnership with Octopus that introduces, for the first time in Hong Kong, the ability for users to earn miles directly from Mobile Octopus payments. The collaboration enables users to earn miles from everyday transactions and marks a major milestone in connecting routine spending with meaningful travel rewards.
The month-long campaign, starting in December, allows users to earn 100 Max Miles for every HK$100 spent via Mobile Octopus, for up to 1,000 Max Miles across 10 transactions during the campaign period. For example, spending HK$1,000 across daily essentials like transport, snacks, coffee, and shopping would earn the full 1,000 Max Miles, which can be used toward flights on over 30 airline and hotel programmes supported by HeyMax. Short-haul redemptions in Asia typically start from 7,000 miles, meaning users are meaningfully closer to their next trip just by using Mobile Octopus.

Users in Hong Kong can earn Max Miles from over 300 leading merchants including Watsons, Trip.com, Klook, Starbucks, foodpanda and redeem them for flights, hotels, and rewards from over 30 programs, including Cathay, ALL Accor, and Qatar Airways. Registered users will also have access to a “Top Spender Award Pool”, with the top prize offering 352,000 miles. In addition, four winners will receive 52,000 Max Miles each, and 15 winners will receive 28,000 Max Miles each. The campaign is open to one million participants.
